Listen to the podcast in the player above, or subscribe via iTunes, GooglePlay or Stitcher. What the heck is “Garage Fiction”? Since January 2015, a small group of storytellers committed to writing a piece of fiction every week… and then getting on a podcast to talk about it.
This Week’s Prompt was submitted by Garage Fiction Member Alex:
She has this to say about the image:
This composition whispers an Ouroboros’s story against my brain. I’ve looked at it almost everyday for a couple months now, but I still cannot make out it’s voice. I just keep wondering – what garden are these hands tending? (The Ouroboros is a serpent that devours its own tail. It has been used by many peoples, as far back as 1600 BCE, to symbolize concepts such as creation from destruction, life out of death, eternity, renewal and even the soul of the world.)
The original image of the mushroom cloud is from a 1951 nuclear test at the Nevada Proving Grounds. It’s been edited/collaged by an artist named Philipp Igumnov who goes by woodcum.
Will you stand up to fight and join the uprising?
On this episode: Olivia enjoys romance novels by proxy. Jinn reveals how much of a cynic he is. Nicholas answers a tough question admirably and diplomatically because that’s just the kind of guy he is.
